I also noticed that the moles on my upper body began to itch from time to time, and I found it increasingly difficult to tolerate perfume.
Since the surgery, the bite-like marks on my arms have almost disappeared, the itching of the moles has decreased significantly, and I can tolerate small amounts of perfume much better again.
On the side of my head where I had two problematic metal-supported teeth in the upper jaw, I often felt a pulling pain that extended up toward the skull behind the ear and down into the side of my neck, almost reaching my shoulder. The pulling pain toward the neck and shoulder has completely disappeared. I still occasionally feel some pulling behind the ear, but it is much less intense than before.
The remaining discomfort may also be related to weather changes or arthritis in the cervical spine. In addition to this encouraging progress, I had other very positive experiences during my treatment. Due to a diagnosis from my family doctor many years ago, I had been taking statins for high cholesterol, which I was told was hereditary.
Six weeks before the operation, I had to stop taking the statins and was given recommendations for eating, drinking, and supporting my body during the pre-operative period. I followed these recommendations and was very pleased that my LDL level was within a good range on the day of the operation.
Because the constant use of statins had bothered me for a long time, and I very much wanted to stop taking them, I discussed dietary changes and avoiding certain foods with a biomedical doctor. I have followed these recommendations ever since. A blood test at the beginning of February 2018, about three and a half months after my last statin intake, still showed values within the normal range. I am very happy about this and hope I can maintain these levels without medication.
Like many other patients, I am very grateful to the entire team for all the positive changes in my condition.
